Currently, all 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to up to 15 hours free childcare per week for 38 weeks a year. This can be with a Childminder, Nursery or Pre-School. These hours are usually accessed during term time only but can be used as “stretched” offer where children access fewer hours a week for more weeks per year (throughout the school holidays).

Children of working parents could be entitled to an additional 15 hours per week (Subject to eligibility). Some 2-year-olds are also entitled to free childcare for up to 15 hours a week, 38 weeks per year (subject to eligibility).

More information can be found on the London Borough of Bexley website and on the Childcare Choices website.
