The Children and Families Act (March 2014) requires Local Authorities to publish a Local Offer website.
This website has been co-produced with the help of parents, professionals and young people and is under continuous development.
Our aim is to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for information and services that support children and young people with special educational needs and disability aged 0-25 years old.
Local authorities must publish a Local Offer, setting out in one place information about provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their local area who have SEN or are disabled, including those who do not have Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.
In setting out what they ‘expect to be available’, local authorities should include provision which they believe will actually be available.
The Logo on this site has been designed soley by a group of young people who have been educated in Bexley and have a range of SEN needs.
Having looked at the site they felt that this logo best represented what the Bexley Local Offer means to them.
Our future plan is to refresh the logo yearly with the design being created by local students who we are here to support.
Please note that services not commissioned by Bexley LA are not endorsed by Bexley LA.
